Lots of Lavender Gift Box

There are less than three weeks left of Sale-a-Bration.  Did you already get your favorite items for Free?  One of the Level 1 choice is the beautiful Lots of Lavender stamp set.  It reminds me of the Lavender farm that we visited last summer.  We were on San Juan Island in Washington, State.

For today’s project though I decided to use Berry Burst for the flowers and I think they came out pretty too.

Lavendar-box

I created a box out of Berry Burst card stock added the Berry Burst Metallic Edged Ribbon and finished with a tag.  Inside the box I used the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie – Crinkle-cut shredded paper that perfectly matches my box.

The outline image is stamped in Black, the flowers in Berry Burst, the leaves in Old Olive and the ribbon in Soft Sky.   I added Wink of Stella over the flowers but you can’t really see it in the photo.

I also used the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies to cut the Celebrate out of Silver Foil.  The dies are a Level 2 Sale-A-Bration choice.  It’s tied on with some Soft Sky Baker’s Twine.

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st so make sure you do your shopping before then!

Decorate a plain bag

Decorate a plain bag with a cute tag like I did here.  It’s Tuesday so I thought I’d share a tag idea – it’s Tag Tuesday right?  Oh wait maybe that’s just me being silly.

bag-with-a-tag

I use the Card Front Builder Thinlits again.  I just love the trees and the little deer. But they are retiring so be sure to order them before they are gone!

I layered them on some Lots of Labels cut pieces.  Tie on to the bag with ribbon.  And I added twine as well.  The greeting stamp came from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kits.

SHOP HERE FOR THE DIES – the year end sales event is going on now.

Have a great day.

Tree Tags & Free Shipping

Tree Tags & Free Shipping

Last Friday I was scheduled to have a Wrap Up the Holidays class but mother nature didn’t like that idea.  Instead we had snow!  Which is not normal for us – I live in Georgia – we average maybe 1-2″ of snow in a whole year and that’s usually in Jan/Feb time frame – occasionally in March.  Rarely in December.  But this weekend we got about 8″ of snow at my house!  So since my class was cancelled I decided to be brave and do a FB Live on my Stamping Together At Monika’s Place Facebook page instead.  It was my first real one on my page where I showed a project.  You can visit my page to watch it if you haven’t already.

Here is the project that I made.

tree-tag-FB-project

It’s a set of tags featuring the Card Front Builder Thinlits dies and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.  I also made a little box to hold the tags.

Cat Tags

Quick and cute little tags using the cat punch.

cat-tags

I used just a few basic supplies to make these tags.

Very Vanilla card stock cut with the Layering Circles Framelits.  Basic Black card stock punched with the Starburst punch.  And of course the cat is punched with the cat punch – it’s actually the Spooky Night Designer Series paper – the cat print matches right up with the punch. The words are from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set.

I did pull in some retired Baker’s Twine that was Pumpkin Pie & Black. That was fun twine I think from last years Holiday Catalog.  I tend to have lots of Baker’s Twine and keep all of it to use on my tags.

Have a great day!

Enjoy these puppy treats

Last weekend we went up to visit my son Ryan at school in Indiana.  We stayed over night at his girlfriends parents house.  I made a gift basket for them – I brought them a variety of things from Georgia.  And I also made a sweet little treat for the dog!  An 8 month old puppy.

puppy-treats

I had a clear box from an earlier catalog – I believe they were 3×3 clear boxes.  I filled the box with milkbones.  Currently we have Tiny treat boxes that are clear – you could use those for cat treats or mini bones – or use the Acetate Boxes in the Holiday catalog and fill one of those with milk bones.

I used the Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon to tie around the box and added a tag.  The tag is Basic Gray card stock cut with the Layering Squares – one of the scallop squares.  And a piece of Watercolor Paper.  Stamp the dog from Bella & Friends and watercolor.  Here is a picture of Cooper – isn’t he cute!  He even looks like the little dog on the tag.  And that’s Emily – Ryan’s girlfriend.

Label Me Pretty Tags

Every month I make a stack of tags that I use for customer orders that are delivered to my house.  I enjoy adding a little bit of joy to each bag!  This month I used the Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label punch.  The same bundle from yesterday’s card.  And I also used the Fresh Florals Designer Paper Stack.

label-me-pretty-tags

I normally create my tags using something that is already out on my table.  In this case I had some pieces of the In-Color card stock on the table and decided if I cut each one in half it would make a nice size for a tag.  But then they were a little wider than 2″ so they didn’t work in the Scalloped Tag topper punch – which I use a lot for my tags.  I decided to cut some 2″ wide strips of matching designer paper and punch the tops of those and glue them to the front of the card stock.  Then I added my labels that I stamped and punched with the Pretty Little Label bundle.  I also used the Layering Circle framelits.

My customers are the best – I hope they love these little tags on their orders!

Easy Halloween Treats

I made these quick treats for my little niece and nephew for Halloween.  I found a box of bones candy at the store and covered them with card stock and added a tag.

skeleton-boxes

I found the candy at the grocery store and just measured the box and cut and scored my card stock to go around it.  I used a Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker to draw some faint lines across the white card stock to resemble strips of gauze – and then used an aqua painter with a little more Sahara Sand ink to add some faint shadows.  I tied an actual piece of gauze around the box and added the little Cookie Cutter Mummy with some white baker’s twine for a tag.  The mummy is also watercolored a little bit to give it shadows – I used Watercolor paper for them.

If just took a few minutes to put these together!  Happy Halloween!

Sale-A-Bration Countdown – 7 days

After today you’ll only have 7  more days to take advantage of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration offering.  One of the cutest stamp sets is the Honeycomb Happiness set.  It has an adorable little chick, and the balloon and ice cream cone in it.  I used it here for some little treats that I gave out at my Tin of Cards class back in January.

honeycomb-treat E

This idea came from Erica Cerwin.  It’s a little 2″ wide box that uses the Ornate Tag Topper punch to punch the flaps that cover the front.  The twine holds the box shut and the tag is stamped with the ice cream cone from the Honeycomb Happiness set.  I did some paper piecing by stamping the cone on the colored card stock too – and cutting it out to layer on the card.  The adorable Honeycomb embellishments are in the Occassions catalog (and so is the twine).

You need $50 in product to get this stamp set for free – here is a suggestion – the punch, the honeycomb embellishments, the Baker’s Twine, Sponge Daubers (those make the polka dots on the box), and 2 ink pads.

Here is the supply list:

Snowman Jar filled with tags

I saw a snowman jar filled with peppermints somewhere – either Facebook or Pinterest. It was simple with a black hat and scarf on a jar.  I decided I wanted to create one and fill it with tags.  So now what to do for the tags – I had a stack of 1″ Whisper White strips of card stock on my craft table left from another project – well my stamp a stack class so I had a bunch.  I decided to use those and make some abstract snowman tags.

snowman-jar-tags

Everyone in my Wrapping up the Holidays class got to make one of these jars and a dozen of the tags.

The hat on the jar is made with the Circle Framelits – a brim and a top and then a strip to wrap around for the side of the hat.  I decided to put a hinge on the top of my hat so that you could just lift it up and pull out the tags without unscrewing the lid.

snowman-jar-tag2

The tags are my favorite part and so simple.  I stamped the three dots from the Snow Place stamp set.  I guess they are 3 little lumps of coal.  I cut the hats from the framelits and just punched a little hole in the top.  I strung the hat on the baker’s twine and then through the tag.  The hat swings.  To finish tie a piece of ribbon around the tag and stamp the back with to/from.

snowman-tags

Cute and quick and simple.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I still need to wrap presents for Christmas and I have yet to mail out any Christmas cards – yikes!  Maybe Christmas Eve will be the day they go out.  That is pretty much the norm for me though.

Home for Christmas Santa Tags

The Home for Christmas Designer Paper from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog had a fun print filled with Santa’s.  I used  most of mine by cutting the Santa’s out and adding them to projects.  This is a quick tag that I created.

santa-tags

Each of the different Santa’s give the tags a variety of looks.  I fussy cut them out and added them with Stampin’ Dimensionals to my tag.

Cut the label with the Big Shot, add a strip of Designer paper across the bottom, stamp the top and then put Santa on with dimensionals.  Punch a little hole and add some Baker’s Twine.

These will be perfect on some gifts as I finish wrapping!

Thanks for visiting.
