Nature’s Nest – Dragonfly

I bought the Nature’s Nest stamp set last year in my first order from the catalog.  I had planned on using for convention swaps last year.  Well that never happened and it sat in my craft room for almost a year – how awful was that.  I finally used it and made a beautiful card for some of my convention swaps this year.  I’m really happy with the result.

I’m not sure the picture on my blog show just how pretty it is.  I actually used the same layout that I had used in some cards I created early this year for the Royal Blog Tour.

The colors this time are Crumb Cake, Marina Mist and Soft Suede.  The dragonfly image is stamped in Basic Black StazOn ink.  I colored the dragonfly body with the Marina Mist marker and then wings with a Bashful Blue marker. Then I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the wings.

If you know me, you know I rarely use glitter.  But these wings really needed the extra sparkle.  It is pretty in real life.  I tried to get a close up pictures but I still don’t think it shows the sparkle and shine.

I also used the color spritzer tool to add spritz on the front of the card – I sure do miss that splatter from the Itty Bitty Backgrounds set – we need that one stamp back in the catalog.

To finish the card I added the new 1/8″ Marina Mist Ribbon tied with Linen Thread and a little jewelery tag.  I hope you like it.
