Create CCMC218 – Mini Halloween Treat Bags

Happy Thursday!  There’s a new challenge at Create with Connie & Mary this week and this time it’s a color challenge!  Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry.

And for me I thought Halloween…. Look at these cute mini Halloween Treat Bags!!

Aren’t they adorable.  The idea was from a crafting magazine.  There were tons of little Halloween treats and I want to try to recreate more of them but here is one.

The little bags are recycled brown paper – the paper that comes in our order boxes – yep another use for that and I have tons of it lying around.  I put a piece through my Big Shot with the Petite Pocket Die!

I glued the sides together and ta-da the perfect little mini treat bag.  I used my ink pads by dragging them across the bags to add color – it picks up on the creases and edges.

I used the Googly Ghouls stamp set create the little ghouls for each bag and added googly eyes to each one.  The bags are held shut with a decorated wooden clothes pin.  I covered each side with paper and then added a button.

Just fill the bags with a little bit of candy and you have some cute little treats.  What can you create with these fun colors?  Play along with us this week!  And for more fun crafting ideas the Holiday edition class is going on too.  Connie & Mary and the rest of the team just finished a whole week of Halloween projects!  And this week there are lots of fun Fall themed ideas.  So join today if you want more great projects.  I’m a guest designer and have a fun project planned for later this month.

  1. I usually save the packing paper for my kitties to play with but now I’m rethinking that! This is such a fun way to re-purpose that material. And I love the adorable Halloween images you’ve used.

    • I do use the paper to wrap Christmas presents – then I just put pretty ribbon around them – this year I may use the tulle – a different color for each place we open the presents at. But I don’t iron it.

  2. OMG – Monika – you have had me saving this paper ever since last year at Regionals when you did the cookie bags with the scallop die!! Now here is another fabulous idea!! I LOVE the clothespins too – hmm, I just might have to case this one!! Although I don’t have the Halloween sets – so will use something a little different! Thanks for sharing!!

  3. LOVE your paper Halloween sacks with the decorated clothes pins on top! Clever!!! I just recycled a bunch of that paper…darn! Great job with the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!
