UDI Color Challenge #1

There is a new weekly Color Challenge over at the Utah Diva’s International Blog and this is week #1.  Here is the color inspiration we got for this week from Gretchen –

Some pretty colors don’t you think?  Apparently I have been using a lot of Pear Pizzazz because I’m almost completely out – down to one 1/2 sheet of card stock which nearly left me in a bind with trying to complete this color challenge.  But I figured it out and used my time wisely too.  I needed to make some more little tags and decided that I would use this color challenge for the inspiration for this batch of tags.

I used the colors in the challenge plus Whisper White.  I created a handful of tags which will go on some of my orders this week.

In the close up of the tag you can see it little bit better what I did.  I used 4 different sized circle punches – the new 2-1/2″ circle, 1-3/4″ circle, 1-3/8″ circle and the 1-1/4″ circle.

The flowers are from the Charming stamp set and I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp with Pear Pizzazz (see that’s where I got it in without using any of my card stock), Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry.  The Early Espresso is one of the circles and the stamped “thank you” which came from the Because I Care stamp set.  I also sponged the edges of the Crumb Cake circle with it.    The layout for this tag was based on another one that I made over the weekend for my Halloween class and Downline meeting.  I’ll show that one later this week.  I probably could have added some shimmer or glitter to these flowers too and then they would have sparkled – but too late now.

I do have to tell you though that I am not usually a glitter/bling girl but earlier in the summer I bought a shirt that that had some little rhinestone things on it.  So I have it on today and I keep thinking I have something stuck on my shirt – like food or something – I’ve already picked off two rhinestones not thinking that they were supposed to be there – ugh… how do I make myself stop?

Anyway – back to the topic at hand….. to see the other ideas that the UDI Color Challenge team came up with for the beautiful color combination visit the blog – click here.  You can create a creation too and play along with us – linking instructions are on the UDI blog.
